Senior Morgan Vanderschaaf has been a part of many things during her time at GWU. A nursing major, swimmer, and member of the Gathering band, she has had many of memorable experiences on and off campus. Here’s what made her Top 5 list.
Traveling to Quetzaltenago, Guatemala with the Hunt School of Nursing for a medical mission trip. It was an incredible experience to be able to serve while also using what I have learned in nursing school. The main takeaway from the trip was a confirmation to serve in the nursing field someday. God is so good, and the people from Quetzaltenago blessed our team in so many ways.
Traveling to Portland, OR with Alpha Chi for the National Convention. It was amazing to share knowledge and scholarship with other students from across the United States.
Participating in Swim Across America at Lake Norman with the GWU swim team. We raised money for cancer and swam a 5K in Lake Norman.
Traveling to Sarasota, FL with the GWU swim team for our Winter Training trip. It is so fun to swim outside, and even though we were training really hard, I got to be with my best friends in the sunshine.
Playing my viola at the Gathering on Tuesday nights. I played viola all of high school, and at GWU, the Gathering gave me the opportunity to continue that while worshiping, which was a pretty amazing experience.
